Astrid is an 8-inch free-blown Italian glass Christmas elf dressed in a crisp peppermint palette of red, sparkling white and gold. From her towering striped hat and fluffy white trim to her paneled capelet and skirt, the pattern carries right down her long candy-cane striped legs and glittering red boots. Pom-pom details and a large gold bow at the back add dimension to her playful silhouette. Mouth blown, shaped, hand painted, decorated and glittered by artisans in Italy, each Astrid has the individual variations of a handmade ornament.

At 8 inches tall, Astrid has enough scale to become a focal ornament rather than disappear among traditional balls. Let her dangle where her long striped legs can hang freely, group her with Christmas elves and figures, or use her to anchor a red-and-white peppermint section of the tree.
Astrid carries her peppermint stripes from top to bottom, but look closer at how many different finishes are involved. Sparkling white and red glitter, fluffy trim, tiny pom-poms and gold accents break up the pattern, while her rosy hand-painted face gives the tall, slender figure plenty of personality.
