Butterfly Christmas Bauble
ITEM #: 67922
A brightly painted butterfly takes center stage on this handmade paper mache bauble, standing out against a muted blue background scattered with splashes of color. The 3-inch ornament is crafted from recycled paper and individually hand-painted by artisans in Kashmir, India. The contrast between the vivid butterfly and quieter blue backdrop gives the design an artistic, almost painted-canvas quality, with natural variations that make each piece individual.
MATERIAL: Paper Mache made from recycled paper, 100% biodegradable
INCLUDES: 1 Handmade, Paper Mache Christmas Ornament
Give the Butterfly Bauble a visible spot on the Christmas tree where its colorful artwork can be appreciated up close, or display it beyond the holidays as a small decorative piece. Its nature-inspired subject also works easily within collections centered around butterflies, flowers, gardens or handmade artistry.
The butterfly is clearly the star, but it’s the surrounding color that makes the design interesting. Its vibrant wings stand against a subdued blue background while unexpected splashes of other colors move across the bauble, giving the hand-painted artwork a loose, expressive quality.
Place this bauble near solid-colored ornaments to give the painted butterfly and scattered colors room to stand out. It can also be grouped with floral, bird and botanical ornaments for a nature-inspired section of the tree, or mixed among other Kashmir baubles for a more collected display.
